NFL HOME DAY!

Redskin's Season Ticket Holder for over 20 years... stopped this past season. Remorse? No, not at all. Actually, as I reflect and compare a season of football at home in front of the TV, to going to the games and tailgating, there is no comparison. The food is better, the atmosphere... I control, and the money and amount of quality time I saved was irreplaceable. If anything, I felt guilty for thinking about what I had missed over the last 20 years, @ home with my wife, friends and family.

As for NFL Game Day, here are 13 things I do not miss before the game even starts!

  • COST OF TICKETS
  • TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE TO USE THAT EXTRA TICKET
  • LEAVING THE HOUSE FOR 8 HOURS
  • DEPARTING @ 9:30a.m. EVERY SUNDAY
  • PACKING UP THE GRILL, FOOD and DRINKS
  • HAVING A "ROADY" or TWO ALONG THE WAY
  • DRIVING IN TRAFFIC
  • DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT of DRUNKS and "UNRULY" OPPOSING FANS
  • PARKING NEXT TO OBNOXIOUS HOME FANS
  • HAVING TO USE THE WOODS or OUTHOUSE
  • PACKING UP THE TAILGATE PARTY
  • WAITING TO ENTER THE STADIUM (Security)
  • GETTING TO YOUR SEAT and SEEING SOMEONE IN IT

Next week... WHAT I DO NOT MISS ABOUT THE GAME ITSELF!

Please sahre your thoughts and ideas about the NFL Game Day experience!
I look forward to hearing different points of view.

Well maybe you should have brought your wife, friends, and family to your tailgate parties over the past 20 years and you would have made some real memories - instead of sitting around and whining about missing them. Want some cheese with that whine?

Don't be a sissy get out and tailgate! and bring the wife this time.

Good call... have been doing just that with hockey games and you're right...

STOP WHINING and GO FOR IT!

It's not the games fault...
family and game is a great combo!
